Tips For Attending A Bridal Show 1. Register Early Most bridal show producers give you the option to pre-register online, much of the time with free or discounted admission. Take advantage of early registration to make entering the event run smoother. There are usually longer lines when you register at the event. 2. Bring Your Fiance And… You should definitely bring your fiance to the show. Other people to consider taking along would be your parents, siblings, maid/matron of honor. You don’t want to drag out too many people, just those that are important to you and/or are helping pay for the wedding. 3. How To Avoid Writer’s Cramp Be prepared… many vendors offer contests and promotions and will ask for your information when you visit their booth or table. Save time and avoid hand cramping. Get stickers or labels pre-printed with the following information: YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE #, EMAIL ADDRESS, WEDDING DATE. You can get stickers made at a very reasonable price at your local Staples, Office Depot, etc. If you’re computer savvy, you can print labels on your home/office printer. I’ve also seen a number of brides-to-be bring a self-inking rubber stamp, which is also a great idea and available at a very low price at your local office supply store. 4. Booking A Vendor At A Bridal Show The best thing about attending a bridal show is that you can meet face-to-face with several wedding vendors in a short amount of time. Depending on the show, there will be anywhere from a dozen to over a hundred exhibitors. Be sure to visit every vendor. Many will offer special discounts that are only available on the day of the show. Bring your checkbook, credit card or cash so you can take advantage of these savings. Ask questions… the vendors are there to help you plan your special day. 5. Arranging Your Day Be prepared to spend anywhere between 3 to 5 hours at the show. The agenda varies from show to show, but most of the time you can expect to find food / dessert samplings, live entertainment and a fashion show. Dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. 6. You’ve Got Mail Set up a separate wedding email account for all your wedding planning adventures. Stay organized and keep your wedding emails separate from your personal emails. Whether you provide your email address at a bridal show, online or anywhere else, you will definitely see quite a few emails in your inbox from wedding vendors and other wedding related services. Check your wedding email account frequently and take the time to read each message to find special deals and money saving offers. When your wedding is over, delete your wedding email account, done. 7. Find A Bridal Show Use our list of bridal show producers to find Local Bridal Shows in your area.
